After a heap of leaks on the Apple AirPods 2, the company has silently announced the next generation AirPods. AirPods 2 has been listed on Apple’s website with its details and pricing.
Apple AirPods 2 look pretty similar to the original AirPods but this time around they are completely wireless. The first generation AirPods were needed to charge via the lighting cable but the latest ones can be charged wirelessly. The new case and the AirPods can be charged via Qi-compatible wireless pads.
The company is using H1 chip in the AirPods 2 which is built specifically for headphones and earphones. This new chip is efficient and will provide 50 percent more talk time than the original AirPods.
The all-new AirPds 2 come with Siri functionality meaning one can perform various tasks using the Siri functionality. Just like on iPhones, on the new AirPods “Hey Siri” will awaken the voice assistant. This is very handy as now there is no need to pull out your iPhone from the pocket as AirPods itself can do most of the things.
The AirPods 2 are available for purchase starting today at $159(roughly Rs. 10,941) with the normal charging case, $199(roughly Rs. 13,762) with the Wireless Charging case, and $79(roughly Rs. 5,436) for the standalone charging case.
