Apple To Announce 5G iPhones With 5.4-inch And 6.7-inch OLED Panel, 6.1-inch LTE Model To Also Debut In 2020

Apple is yet to announce it’s 2019 iPhone line up and we already have a rumour on the 2020 iPhone models. Apple analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo has suggested a few details on the 2020 iPhone models and shared some of its highlights.

2020 iPhone

Ming-Chi-Kuo suggests that in 2020 Apple will make all of their iPhones feature an OLED panel. Even the cheaper XR successor will feature an OLED display. Apple will be announcing two premium range models, a 5.4-inch OLED iPhone and another 6.7-inch OLED model. Major highlights of both models will be their 5G support. The XR successor will be LTE only featuring a 6.1-inch OLED panel.

The next year we will get a smaller 5.4-inch compact iPhone with all the premium features. The standard Max model will jump from 6.5-inch to 6.7-inch. Apple will be using Qualcomm’s 5G modems for initial 5G handsets, later it will be using Apple’s own 5G modems but it will be not any time soon. So, for now, Apple has to solely rely on Qualcomm.

Other than this, the Apple iPhone 11 and 11 Max are expected to come with a similar design as the 2019 iPhones. The XR successor will also rock fresh internals but will feature a similar design.
