Asus’s ROG gaming lineup was admired as it offered premium laptops and gaming devices with some great specs and features, then the company entered the smartphone department by launching the ROG Phone that was received well in certain regions. Well, now the company is said to launch its next iteration, the ROG Phone 2 and it looks like the images of the gaming phone have been surfaced.
The leaked images show off the front profile of the smartphone. We get to see front stereo speakers and a front camera beside the top speaker grill. The screen-to-body ratio looks similar to what we have seen in the original ROG Phone. The second image reveals the refresh rate of the display, it will come with up to 120Hz of refresh rate and users will also get to switch between the refresh rate from 60Hz to 120Hz.
Other than this, the smartphone is expected to come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC which is slightly more powerful than the regular Snapdragon 855. The gaming phone will run on Android 9 Pie out of the box and a custom UI on top of it. The custom UI will be optimized for gaming needs that means it will come with some specific set of features that will enhance the overall gaming experience.
That’s what we know so far about the Asus ROG Phone 2, but the launch is just a week ahead on July 23 so expect to see more details in coming days.
