Honor has launched a new budget smartphone in China. Honor Play 8 comes with some decent specifications and features at super-budget pricing.
The smartphone sports a 5.71-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. There is also an Honor branding at the front bottom bezel. In terms of camera, the Honor Play 8 features a single camera setup comprising of a 13-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/1.8. There is a single-tone LED flash beneath the camera lens. At the front, it has a 5-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/2.2.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage(expandable up to 512GB via microSD card). The smartphone runs on Andriod 9 Pie out of the box with Honor’s custom UI on top of it. It houses a 3,020mAh battery without any sort of fast-charging technology. It does not come with a physical fingerprint scanner instead it rocks a software-based face-unlock.
Other than this, the Honor Play 8 comes with Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and 4G VoLTE support. The device comes in Midnight Black and Aurora Blue colour variants.
Honor Play 8 comes at a price of CNY599(roughly $90 or Rs. 6,000) and will be available in offline and online stores across China.
