Instagram Dark Mode Is Finally Here: Here's How To Turn It On

Instagram has finally rolled out the much-awaited feature on its applications. The company has updated its applications with a Dark interface starting today. The new Instagram Dark mode feature was earlier in beta version and with several testings and improvements, the feature is here. Let’s take a look at all the details.

Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri revealed that the new Dark mode feature will be compatible with Android 10 and iOS 13 devices. Those on Android 9 will only get the feature if thier device supports system-wide Dark mode.

There’s not much to say here as the application automatically starts the Dark UI once the app is updated to the latest version. The UI is similar to Youtube Dark mode as here the main content page is in dark black colour whereas the navigation and search bar is of a dark grey colour.

Once the dark mode on the device is changed to regular light mode, the app automatically gets the light UI. That’s just the way it works, so there are no settings to turn it on or off in the application.

Other than this, the company is also testing several other features on the beta app which will be released soon. Once they are out we’ll be the first one to notify you on the same.
