Lenovo on Tuesday launched two new gaming laptops under the Legion branding at an event in India. Lenovo’s two gaming monsters the Legion Y540 and Legion Y740 come with some crazy internals that is claimed to be made for the new era of gaming. Let’s take a look at all the details.
Lenovo Legion Y540:
With Lenovo Legion Y540 the company claims to provide desktop-level gaming on-the-go. It comes with a 15-inch FHD IPS Anti-glare display with a whopping 144Hz refresh rate. It has around 300 nits of brightness and maintains minimum bezels. The gaming laptop houses a 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD.
In terms of GPU, the gaming laptop comes with up to 6GB of Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GDDR6 GPU with Legion Coldfront Dual Fan thermals. The new thermals are said to keep the machine cool offering smooth gameplay.
Other than this, the Lenovo Legion Y540 has built-in Harmon Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The laptop comes with regular Keyboard, whereas it’s elder brother Y740 comes with an RGB mechanical keyboard.
Lenovo Legion Y740:
Lenovo Legion Y740 is the top offering from the company featuring a 15-inch FHD IPS Anti-glare display with 144Hz refresh rate. The screen brightness has improved to 500 nits with Dolby Vision HDR support. It packs a 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB M.2 SSD.
The gaming laptop has an improved GPU, it comes with up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU with similar thermals as the Legion Y540.
Other than this, the Lenovo Legion Y740 comes with RGB Mechanical keyboard which is claimed to provide excellent typing experience. It also packs the Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Sound Radar technology.
In terms of pricing, the Legion Y540 range starts from ₹69,990 and the Legion Y740 starts from ₹1,29,990. The company also unveiled a bunch of accessories, desktops, gaming mouse, and keyboards.
