Apple has finally released the all-new macOS 10.15 Catalina for all of their compatible devices. The company announced it back in June at the WWDC 2019 event and later in was in the beta stage until today, now finally it out for the public. The new OS brings a lot of changes and improvements over the old macOS 10.14 Mojave. Let’s take a look at all the details.

The all-new macOS Catalina comes with some major improvements over the old macOS Mojave. Now the new OS replaces certain applications with new names, there’s the iTunes that has been replaced with Apple Music, there’s a new Podcast app, and Apple Tv app.
macOS Catalina also brings improved Gatekeeper that helps to keep the device safe from any sorts of security problems. Now mac gets the new Find My application that integrates both Find my device and Find my friend application.
One of the highlighting features of the macOS 10.15 Catalina is its Sidecar feature. The feature lets you use an iPad as a secondary display or as an input device. This is very helpful for content creators and artists.
It also brings new Voice Control support that lets you surf your whole device with just your voice commands. It also gets the new Screen Time feature.
There are also a lot of UI changes in the Photos application, Safari, Reminders, and Mail application. Apple has also introduced the new Apple Arcade which lets you play different arcade games for a monthly subscription of $4.99 or ₹99 in India.
The new macOS software also removes the support for 32-bit applications. Now the applications must be 64-bit to run on the new mac software.
How to Install macOS 10.15 Catalina
- Back up your current data
- Free up some space
- Go to System Preferences
- Click on the Software update tab
- Download and install it
- After a restart, the update will be applied
