Motorola has finally launched the much-awaited foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr 2019 at an event in Los Angeles on Thursday. The all-new foldable smartphone is a recreation of the old Razr device with a flexible OLED panel and a bunch of exciting new features. Foldable OLED Display On Razr 2019:
The Motorola Razr 2019 is a tiny little device that goes into the pockets of almost anyone. It can be unflipped and users get greeted with the large 6.2-inch OLED panel with an HD+ resolution. It is a notch display that can be flipped or folded making it a tiny device with a Quick View screen. This Quick View screen is a 2.7-inch secondary display panel with a 600×800 pixel resolution. It can be used for multiple purposes such as checking notifications, for clicking selfies and doing quick small tasks.
Its main highlight is the folding OLED panel which is claimed to survive numerous folds and is thin as any other regular display. It has a massive bottom chin that clicks on the display when folded. It also has a fingerprint reader sitting on the chin.
Cameras On Razr 2019:
In terms of optics, the Motorola Razr 2019 sports a single camera setup at the rear consisting of a 16MP shooter. It also has a 5MP camera inside housed in the notch. The device is claimed to provide great lo-light images and has several models such as Night Vision and other camera tweaks.
Hardware, Software, No SIM support:
The device powers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset bundled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It houses a 2,510mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
Other than this, it runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box but is upgradable to the latest Android 10 in the future. It has NFC and Bluetooth 5.0 support. The surprising thing is that it doesn’t come with a SIM card slot, rather Moto has added an eSIM capability, so users can use an eSIM from most of the top brands offering the service.
Pricing And Availability:
Moving to the pricing of the device, the innovative Motorola Razr 2019 is priced at $1,499.99 which is roughly ₹1,07,499. It will be available for pre-orders from December 26. The device is currently available in the US but should launch soon in other emerging markets.
