HMD Global has launched its new budget smartphone, the Nokia 4.2 in India. The smartphone packs decent internals and a refreshing design than it’s predecessor. Let’s take a look at all the details.

The Nokia 4.2 smartphone is the company’s new budget smartphone that comes with a new design. It sports a 5.71-inch HD+(1520X720) display with a water-drop or a U-shaped notch. Moving to the cameras, it features a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera set up at the rear with an LED flash beneath the lens. At the front, it features 8-megapixel selfie camera housed in the U-shaped notch.

Under the hood, the Nokia 4.2 smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset coupled with either 2GB of RAM/16GB internal storage or 3GB of RAM/ 32GB internal storage. The storage here is expandable via a microSD card.

The device houses a 3,000mAh battery without any fast-charging support. It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box and comes with a dedicated Google Assistant button for making things easy. It has a unique glowing power button which glows when the notifications are incoming. It also has a fingerprint scanner at the rear and face unlock is also available.

The Nokia 4.2 starts at Rs. 10,990(roughly $158) in India and will go on sale starting May 14 on the Nokia India website. It will also be available in offline stores including Croma, Reliance Digital and some other offline stores.
