Qualcomm has done really great with the Snapdragon 865 SoC as it came with an impressive performance boost, but what’s next? A new report suggests that the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC will launch soon and is expected to bring some performance improvements.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC Specs and Details Outed!
The Snapdragon 875 will probably be the chipset in most of the 2021 smartphones. It will be the first chipset based on the new 5nm process which is expected to be better compared to the current Snapdragon 865 chipset. Some of its key specifications have been surfaced online, let’s take a look.

The upcoming flagship cheapest will come with Qualcomm’s X60 5G modem which will be an upgrade to the X50 modem seen in most of the 5G chips today. The chipset with model number SM8350 will support LPDDR5 SD RAM.
In terms of CPU, it will come with Kryo 685 CPU and have Adreno 660 GPU, Adreno 665 VPU, and Adreno 1095 DPU in the graphics department.
Moving to the camera and connectivity department, the chipset is said to have the support of the Spectra 580 image-processing engine and 6Ghz wifi band support. It will also support 5G, 4G, and 3G mobile internet and with the new X60 modem the 5G connectivity is said to be improved.
Other than this, it will come with a Qualcomm SPU 250, Bluetooth Milan, External 802.11ax, 2×2 MIMO, Snapdragon’s sensor core technology, etc.
The Snapdragon 875 chipset is still a long way to go as the chipset is expected to be announced at the end of the year, but the launch could be delayed further looking at the Coronavirus Pandemic situation.
