Realme has officially launched their all-new budget smartphone, the Realme 3 at an event in India. The smartphone has been unveiled at aggressive pricing and will compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 which was launched a few days back.

Realme 3

Realme 3 comes with 6.2-inch HD+(1520×720 pixels) display with a tear-drop or water drop notch. The smartphone bears a Gorilla Glass 3 protection and so it should be pretty durable.

It comes with a rear dual-camera setup consisting of one 13-megapixel primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera sensor. The phone also comes with a single LED flash.

Now the rear design of the smartphone is different from what we have seen in other Realme phones. The Realme One came with Diamond-cut design, Realme 2 came with a glass-like(plastic) premium looking design, but now the Realme 3 comes with a simple plastic back panel with a gradient colour and a Realme branding at the bottom.

Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 for India and an Helio P60 for the rest of the world. This is paired with either 3GB or 4GB RAM, the base variant comes with 32GB internal memory and the maxed out model comes with 64GB internal memory. The phone storage is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

The smartphone houses a 4,230mAh battery which is claimed to provide a full day and half of battery life. It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box and ColorOS 6 on top of it.

Other than this, it comes with several connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and GPS. It will be available in three colour options, Black, Radiant Blue, and Dynamic Black.

Realme 3 starts at Rs. 8,999 for 3GB/32GB variant and Rs. 10,999 for 4GB/64GB variant. The first sale is on March 12 at 12 pm India Time.
