Redmi 7A With Snapdragon 439 SoC And 4,000mAh Battery Unveiled

Xiaomi has launched a new budget smartphone, the Redmi 7A in China. The Redmi 7A is an addition to the 7-series of smartphones and comes in a very different design from what we are used to. It also packs some decent specs and features.

Redmi 7A

The Redmi 7A is the successor of the Xiaomi Redmi 6A that launched last year. The smartphone comes with a similar design just has some noticeable changes at the rear. Unlike any other Redmi phone, the Redmi 7A comes with a vertical single camera set up at the top rear. To recall, the Redmi 6A came with horizontal camera setup.

It sports a 5.45-inch HD+(1440×720 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The design is notch-less making it look pretty similar to its predecessor. One change the smartphone comes with is the Redmi branding at the front bottom.

Moving to the optics, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel vertical single camera setup with Phase Detection Auto Focus. At the front, it has a 5-megapixel lens for selfies.

Under the hood, the Redmi 7A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset coupled with up to 3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of expandable storage. It also houses a massive 4,000mAh battery and runs on Android 9.0 Pie.

One of the highlights of the phone is its P2i splash resistant rating as it gives the smartphone a water-repellent coating. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and single speaker setup. The device comes in Black and Blue colour variants.

The Pricing and availability details are yet to be known but once it’s out we’ll be the first one to update you on the same.
