Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Go smartphone back in January in some countries but it wasn’t launched in India, well now the smartphone got an official launch date in the country and it is scheduled to launch on March 19.

Redmi Go smartphone comes under the new ‘Redmi’ sub-brand from Xiaomi and will come with Android Go running inside. Also, this will be the company’s first Android Go smartphone.

The smartphone will be launched in the country with a perspective that every Indian can afford it and so it will come with a budget pricing of Rs. 5,000(expected). Said that it will also come with 20+ regional languages and Google Assistant support in Hindi.

It comes with 5-inch HD display with normal bezels on top and bottom. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage(expandable via MicroSD card). It is housed with 3,000mAh battery and will run on Android Go. There will also be an 8-megapixel single camera setup at the rear and a single 5-megapixel front camera as well.

The Xiaomi Redmi Go will come in two colour variants, Blue and Black.
