Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has now officially unveiled the Redmi Note 7 on Thursday in India. This is the younger brother of Redmi Note 7 Pro but still comes with amazing specifications and features. So let’s take a look at its details.

Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro share some similar specifications but the vanilla Note 7 model comes with some differences in the internals and comes at a super budget price range.

The Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It also sports a tear-drop notch and has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. In terms of cameras, it sports a dual rear camera setup consisting of 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel lenses. Here the 2-megapixel secondary camera is for depth sensing. On the front, it houses a 13-megapixel single camera setup for selfies.

Moving to the hardware, the Redmi Note 7 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core SoC paired with two RAM and storage options, the 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. The device also packs a massive 4,000mAh battery with a Quick Charge 4.0 support. It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box and has MIUI 10 running top of it.

In terms of security, it has a rear mounted fingerprint scanner and a Face Unlock feature. The device also comes with 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and also has several connectivity options such as Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, and an infrared sensor.

The device comes in Onyx Black, Ruby Red, and Sapphire Blue colour options.

The smartphone starts at Rs. 9,999 for the base 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage option, and Rs. 11,999 for the maxed out 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. It will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores starting March 6 at 12 pm India Time.
