Redmi has scheduled an event for August 29 in China for the launch of Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro. While the launch is inching closer, the company seems to tease some details every week. Just like that, a fresh leak has arrived on the web revealing the chipsets powered in these two mid-rangers. Let’s take a look at all the details.
The company on its social media handles confirmed that the upcoming Redmi Note 8 will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, whereas its elder brother Note 8 Pro will house the powerful MediaTek Helio G90T SoC. To remind, Realme 5 has the same SoC as the upcoming Note 8, so it will be interesting to see who tops the budget segment. Let us tell you that these are some new chipsets and said to offers great performance. Especially the Helio G90T is said to kill the competitor’s smartphones in terms of performance.
It is also said that the Note 8 will sport quad-camera setup with a primary lens of 48MP which will be the popular Sony IMX586 sensor. Note 8 Pro, on the other hand, will sport the 64MP primary sensor. The company shared some samples from the smartphone and they look stunning. Other than this, this time the batteries are also expected to be bigger with better fast charging support. In terms of pricing expect the smartphones to be under $200 for the base variant.
