Redmi has launched the all-new Redmi Note 8 and the Note 8 Pro smartphone at an event in India. Both the smartphones flaunt a similar looking design and feature a Quad-Camera setup. Now let’s take a look at all the detail of the vanilla Note 8 smartphone.

The Note 8 rocks a 6.3-inch FHD+ water-drop notch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display here has a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The camera placement here is different as it is on the top left, unlike Note 8 Pro’s top center placement. It has a Quad-camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel lens, another 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, there’s the third 2-megapixel ultra-micro lens and the fourth 2-megapixel depth-sensing lens.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB internal storage. It also a 4,000mAh battery coupled with 18W fast charging support.
It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box with MIUI on top of it. The device has Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, IR Blaster, and GPS support. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
The Redmi Note 8 starts at ₹9,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant, and ₹12,999 for 6GB/128GB variant. The smartphone will go on sale starting October 21 on Amazon.
