Chinese smartphone manufacturer Redmi has launched a new smartphone, the Redmi Note 8T at a global event. The all-new Redmi Note 8T is an expansion to the Redmi Note 8 lineup of smartphones that has a Snapdragon chip instead of MediaTek and has a great set of cameras. The all-new Redmi Note 8T smartphone comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and has an 88.3 percent screen-to-body ratio.
In terms of optics, it has a Quad-camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera, another 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a third 2-megapixel depth sensor, and the fouth 2-megapixel macro lens. It also has a dual-flash besides the camera setup. Moving to the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie snapper.
It comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 AIE SoC with Adreno 610 GPU. It has either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB or either a 128GB of internal memory option.
The device ships with a 4,000mAh battery with 18W Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support. It runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie but MIUI 11 Based on Android 10 will soon be updated to the smartphone. It also has a fingerprint scanner and NFC support.
The device comes in three colour options – Moonlight White, Moonshadow Grey, and Starscape Blue. It starts at EUR 179 or ₹14,000 for the base variant and goes all the way up to EUR 249 for the top model. The first sale starts on November 13 in France.
