Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Y3 smartphone in India. The smartphone’s main highlight is its selfie camera and the updated dot notch idea. It also has other sets of useful features so lets a look at them.

The Redmi Y3 sports a 6.26-inch HD+ IPS display with a dot notch. It has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection that ensures durability. In terms of cameras, the phone sports 12-megapixel+12-megapixel dual camera setup with an LED single tone LED flash. At the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera that is said to shoot stunning portraits. The front camera being a major highlight, it comes with various modes and AI features for selfies.

Under the hood, the smartphone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and storage capacity of either 32GB or 64GB. This is expandable via Micro SDcard up to 512GB. It also houses a massive 4,000mAh battery and runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie.

There is a rear mounted fingerprint scanner and also face unlock is available as a security option. The device is available in Elegant Blue, Bold Red, and Prime Black finishes.

The Redmi Y3 starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 2GB RAM/32GB variant and Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB variant. It will be available for purchase starting April 20 at 12 pm exclusively on Amazon India website.
