Galaxy Note 10

Both the Galaxy devices feature a similar design footprint with a punch-hole notch display and minimum bezels.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10:

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 sports a smaller footprint than the Note 10+, it has a 6.3-inch Infinity-O display with a Full-HD+ resolution. This basically means it has a punch-hole display similar to the S10 series of smartphones. The only difference is that the Note 10 has it in the top centre. It has a 401ppi screen and supports Dynamic tone mapping and HDR10+.

In terms of cameras, it features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/2.1, an additional 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and the third lens is a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field-of-view. Samsung has added OIS support and variable aperture to maximize the whole camera experience. At the front, it features a 10-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/2.2.

Samsung has also provided live focus modes, there’s the regular Blur, Colour Point, Glitch, and Big Circle effects which lets users add these effects in the background of the subject.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 10 is powered by an Exynos 9825 SoC or a Snapdragon 855 depending upon the region. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It’s really great to see Samsung going with higher base storage but it comes with a downfall as well, the company has removed the micr0SD card slot from the smartphone. The device houses a 3,500mAh battery and runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box.

One of the major highlights of the smartphone is its ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor that Samsung claims to unlock the smartphone instantly. Other highlights are IP68 resistance and Wireless PowerShare technology.

There’s also the S-Pen support with up to 10 hours of standby time. With the S-Pen you can perform certain tasks and quick actions such as quick screenshots, turning the camera on/off, writing notes etc.

Moving to the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 starts at $949(roughly Rs. 67,401) and will go on sale starting August 23 in the US.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+:

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ sports a massive 6.8-inch Infinity-O display with a resolution of 3040×1440 pixels. It has a 498ppi screen and supports Dynamic tone mapping and HDR10+.

In terms of cameras, it features a triple rear camera setup similar to the Note 10. The Plus model just has an additional VGA sensor that Samsung calls ‘DepthVision’ lens. The lens will let users scan an object in 3D resolution.

Samsung has also provided live focus modes, there’s the regular Blur, Colour Point, Glitch, and Big Circle effects which lets users add these effects in the background of the subject.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ share somewhat similar specs. The Plus is powered by an Exynos 9825 SoC or a Snapdragon 855 depending upon the region. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Unlike the vanilla Note 10, the Plus model has the SDcard slot with expandability up to 1TB.  The device houses a bigger 4,300mAh battery and runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box.
