Vivo has finally announced the much-awaited smartphone from the company. The Vivo NEX 3 and the NEX 3 5G smartphones have landed in China with an impressive specs sheet and features.
The Vivo NEX 3 comes with most of the fancy technology that we see today. It rocks a beautiful Waterfall curved display, a whopping 64MP camera, and latest and the greatest Snapdragon SoC. Let’s get in some details.
As said, the beautiful 6.89-inch Waterfall display comes with a profound screen-to-body ratio of 99.6%. It is a Super AMOLED display with curved edges. The smartphone has no physical buttons instead it introduces Touch Sense to the room. Vivo claims that the new Touch Sense technology offers the same functions that a physical button does. Not just that, when the user touches on sides he will get vibration feedbacks that will feel as good as a real button.
Touch sense also works in games and other apps. The smartphone comes with X-Axis Haptic feedback which is said to provide smooth vibrations depending on the game or in other tasks. Typing feedback is also one more thing Vivo focused on.
Moving to the cameras, the Vivo NEX 3 is equipped with three rear cameras, there’s the new 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor which is claimed to provide super detailed snaps. Accompanying it, there is a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens and another 13-megapixel telephoto lens. At the front, there is a pop-up mechanism featuring a 16-megapixel snapper for selfies.
It has also got the lastest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC which is clocked slightly higher giving users better gaming experience. The chipset is coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In terms of battery, the device houses a 4,500mAh battery with an impressive 44W fast charging support with the in-box charger. Vivo already introduced this type of fast charging in the Vivo iQOO Pro smartphone but still with these specs, a great battery is always a hit.
Other than this, the Vivo NEX 3 runs on Android 9 for now but Android 10 will be updated soon this year.
The Vivo NEX 3 starts at CNY 4,998(roughly $706) for the base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The NEX 3 5G with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced for CNY5,699(roughly $813) and the top variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage costs CNY6,199(roughly $879). It is available for pre-order starting today and will be shipped from September 21.
