Vivo on Wednesday has launched the all-new Vivo S1 smartphone in China. The smartphone comes with a similar looking design as the Vivo V15 that launched a couple of days back.
The Vivo S1 is a mid-range smartphone that comes with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display without a notch. This means that the smartphone comes with a full-screen display and instead of notch the front 24.8-megapixel camera is the house in the pop-out mechanism.
This pop-up camera is similar to the Vivo V15 pro’s pop-up camera. It also features a triple rear camera setup consisting of 12-megapixel, 8-megapixel, and 5-megapixel sensor. One of them is a wide-angle lens and another is a depth-sensing lens.
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 9 Pie and on top of it is the Vivo’s own Funtouch OS.
Other than this, the Vivo S1 also comes with a custom assistant functionality. This new assistant is called a Jovi assistant which is based on Artificial Intelligence. At the event, the company showcased this new feature and it was just similar to any other AI assistant.
It houses a 3,940mAh battery with fast charging support up to 18W. The Game Turbo mode in the phone provides a smooth gaming experience but will give shorter battery life and so the fast charging makes it a great device. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner similar to the regular Vivo V15.
The smartphone comes in Ice Lake Blue and Pet Pink colours and is priced at CNY 2,298(roughly $341 or Rs. 23,478). It will go on sale starting April 1 in China.
