Vivo has launched its next mid-range smartphone in China, the Vivo Z5 comes with a full-screen display featuring a water-drop notch. It also comes with triple cameras and houses a powerful mid-range SoC. So let’s take a look at all the details.
Vivo Z5 is the next smartphone is the company’s Z series of smartphones. It sports a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full-HD+(2340×1080 pixel) resolution. As said earlier, in terms of design the smartphone brings nothing new to the table, it has a water-drop notch at the top and the rear design is also pretty simple.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Z5 features a triple camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/1.79, another 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and the third 2-megapixel lens for depth sensing. At the front, the smartphone houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
What’s powering the smartphone is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory(expandable via microSD card). It runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box and there’s Vivo’s custom OS on top of it. The smartphone houses a 4,500mAh battery with Vivo’s Flash Charge support.
Other than this, the smartphone comes with usual connectivity options such as Wi-FI, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth and GPS. The great thing here is that it doesn’t miss on the 3.5mm headphone jack which many smartphone manufacturers forget about.
Moving to the pricing and availability, the Vivo Z5 starts at CNY 1,598(roughly INR 16,000) for the base variant(6GB/128GB) and goes all the way up to CNY 2,298 (roughly INR 23,000) for the top variant(8GB/256GB). The Handset will be available in China across most of the online and offline retail shops.
