Xiaomi has launched the flagship Mi 9 smartphone today and along with it the company also unveiled two models of the phone, the Mi 9 SE and Mi 9 Transparent Edition. The smartphones come with Flagship grade specifications and features, so let’s check it out.

Xiaomi Mi 9:
Xiaomi Mi 9 features a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with a FullHD+ resolution. It sports a water-drop notch design at the front that houses the front 20-megapixel selfie sensor. It comes with a Sony IMX586 sensor with a megapixel count of whopping 48-megapixel. It has a triple camera setup and one of the lenses is a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. It also sports a 3,300mAh battery with fast charging support of up to 20 Watts.
One major highlight of the device is that it comes with an In-display fingerprint sensor and also Face unlock as a security option.
Other than this, the device comes with a Gorilla Glass 6 protection and is scratch, water and dust resistant.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE:
Xiaomi Mi 9 features a smaller 5.97-inch display with a FullHD+ resolution. It sports a water-drop notch design as well and on the notch, it houses the front 20-megapixel selfie sensor. It comes with a Sony IMX586 sensor with a megapixel count of whopping 48-megapixel. It has has a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. It also sports a 3,070mAh battery with fast charging support of up to 18 Watts.
Now just like the regular Mi 9, the Mi 9 SE also comes with an In-display fingerprint sensor also has face unlock a security option.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition:
The Mi 9 Transparent edition features almost the same internals as the regular Mi 9 but comes with a transparent back panel. One major thing which differentiates the Mi 9 Transparent Edition is that the Transparent model of the phones comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage which is bonkers.
The Transparent Edition of Mi 9 is meant for Gaming and for advanced users who like to game on their phones. It comes with the Game Turbo mode which makes the device game ready. It also sports a different custom UI which is probably the MIUI 10 but with an advanced theme.
Pricing Details:
The Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone starts at CNY 2,999( approx. Rs. 31,800) for the 6GB/128GB variant and CNY 3,299(approx. Rs. 35,000) for the maxed out 8GB/128GB variant.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition is priced for CNY 3,999(approx. Rs. 42,300) and the Mi 9 SE for Rs. CNY 1,999(approx. Rs. 21,200) for the base 64GB variant and CNY 2,299(approx. Rs. 24,400) for the maxed 128GB variant.
