Xiaomi on Thursday launched the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro at an event in New Delhi. The smartphone comes with upgraded specifications than it’s predecessor the Redmi Note 5 Pro. So let’s take a look at some of its specifications and details.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Specifications
The smartphone features a 6.26-inch fullHD+(2280 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. This time around the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a notch which the older Redmi Note 5 Pro missed. The display has a Corning Gorilla Glass protection as well but the exact number is unknown to us.
Moving to its Camera, the smartphone features a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera set up at the rear and Xiaomi claims that it is backed up by Artificial Intelligence. On the front, it features 20-megapixel + 2-megapixel AI dual camera for great portrait shots. Xiaomi has also introduced the new AI Portrait Mode 2.0 which allows features like studio lighting, dynamic bokeh and much more.
Under the hood, the smartphone features the same chipset which we saw in the Redmi Note 5 Pro i:e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core chip coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage.
The device is backed up with a 4000mAh battery which Xiaomi claims that it will last for two days on normal usage. The smartphone also has a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support which means the phone will be charged almost rapidly. It will run on Android 8.1.0 Oreo and Xiaomi’s custom UI the MIUI 10 on top of it.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will be available in four colours, the Black, Rose Gold, Blue, and Red colour.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro’s 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 13,999 and 6GB + 64GB is priced at Rs. 15,999. But Xiaomi is discounting Rs. 1000 on both the variants as a Black Friday sale for one day after launch ie. on November 23 and will be available on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home offline stores.
Other than this, the Cheif Marketing Officer of Xiaomi India stated, “Redmi Note has established a strong legacy in India over the last few years with each Redmi Note hitting industry milestones. With each generation, we have improved the overall smartphone experience and brought the best specs together – be it battery, camera or performance. Redmi Note 6 Pro provides meaningful upgrades to the bestselling Redmi Note 5 Pro and we hope Mi Fans would be able to enjoy a truly innovative product from Xiaomi.”
