It’s been almost two weeks since the much awaited OnePlus 7 Pro was officially announced at an event held in Bangalore. The device was welcomed by many and most of the people were waiting for its anticipated update, which would include HDR support for the camera. It has finally started pushing the updates. In India, the update is rolling out as OxygenOS 9.5.4.
This new update brings HDR support, better low light photography and basic gestures such as Double Tap to Wake and also Ambient Display. Ever since the device was launched they have been receiving quite a lot of hate towards their camera abilities. The Thr OnePlus 7 Pro’s camera has been quite average when compared to others in the same price range.
Especially with its zoom lens, the company markets the device as it comes with a 3X Optical Zoom lens whereas in reality, it is around 2.5/2.6X, the same was the case with its OnePlus 5/5T, wherein the zoom was embedded as 2X but practically, it could only go up to 1.6X
An announcement made on the official OnePlus forum said that OxygenOS 9.5.4 updates have started rolling out in markets. The software builds are the same but due to recent regulations in the EU, one build is specifically for the EU region which will be OxygenOS 9.5.5, the company confirmed. The OxygenOS 9.5.4 update also claims to have fixed the audio delay issue on Bluetooth headsets while playing games and it also comes with general bug fixes and overall performance improvements. The update will be pushed as an OTA (over-the-air) update and will eventually reach out to each and every OnePlus 7 Pro device out there.
The company also mentioned, “This OTA will have a staged rollout, the OTA will be received by a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs.”
