Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro Will Arrive in India on July 17

It is finally coming. The Redmi K20 Series is finally arriving in India and it’s official. I know you’ve been seeing a lot of articles of this kind, but today I assure you it’s going to be coming to stores near you. A couple of weeks ago, Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India ran a Twitter campaign regarding the launch of the K20 series and they’ve finally given us the launch date.

Both the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will debut in India on July 17. Redmi India Twitter account confirmed the news on Friday. The company will be hosting a Mi Pop 2019 Fan event on the exact same date so it’ll be a busy day for them.



As you can see from the Tweet we were talking about, “The Flagship Killer 2.0” is coming soon. Xiaomi has started sending out event invites to the media for the launch event, which will be held in New Delhi at 12 PM on July 17. To recall, the K20 Series was launched a month ago in China and the company surpassed the one million mark of sales in the country.

You are probably aware of the specifications by now, but let’s bring it back for a moment. The K20 Pro sports a 6.39inch Full HD+ display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the K20 Pro is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with Adreno 640 GPU and up to 8GB of RAM. The K20 comes with a Snapdragon 730 SoC.

One of the main highlights of the device is its triple rear camera setup, which consists of a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor. The K20 Series is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support and, it comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

The Redmi K20 Pro price in China is set at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 24,900) for the base variant of 6GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration. Whereas the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option is priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 27,900).
